Daisy's Bark: February Newsletter

Happy February everyone and welcome to Daisy's Bark! With the first month of the year behind us, it's the perfect time to dive into the cozy vibes of winter and look ahead to all the exciting things February has in store. We’ve got some great updates, helpful tips, and happenings to share with you this month, so let’s make the most of it together!

Daisy's Cause is off to a great start of fundraising for Touch of Grey Rescue. We're a little over $600.00 with 2 months to go. Touch of Grey Rescue is located in Melbourne Beach, FL and their mission is getting senior dogs out of shelters in Brevard county. They're placed with foster families and from there, to forever homes. Without the help of fosters, shelters and rescues can barely survive.

Daisy's Dog Collars has some great tips on keeping your pet safe in cold weather:

  • Wipe your pet's paws after every walk. It removes debris and chemicals from Ice Melt.
  • Use pet-safe Ice Melt like Natural Rapport, Trusted Tracks, Snow Joe or Safe Paw.
  • Limit their outdoor play time in the extreme cold.
  • Tap on the hood of your car before you start the engine. Cats and small animals seek shelter and warmth in car engines and undercarriages.
  • Increase indoor play time to keep your pup active. Try a Snuffle Mat to hide treats in. It keeps them busy and tires them out.
  • Provide a sweater or coat for your short haired pup. It keeps them warm and sheltered from the wind and snow in outdoor activities.

This is where Daisy will be this month. If you're in the area, stop by and say hello.
