Hello and Welcome to our October Newsletter,
Fall is here, and it's time for cozy days, crisp walks, and plenty of outdoor adventures. October brings cooler weather, colorful leaves, and lots of fun ways to enjoy the season with your favorite four-legged friend. At Daisy’s Dog Collars, we’re celebrating all things fall—with adorable pups, seasonal fun, and, of course, a little coastal style along the way!
Talk about adorable pups...Shore Saves Animal Rescue, located in Freehold NJ, has plenty of beautiful pups for adoption. Daisy's Cause is a little over $300 in fundraising for them, and we'll continue to donate $5 per collar to this amazing organization throughout the fall. Please visit Shoresaves.com to learn more about them or even better... to adopt a pup.
Fall may bring cooler temperatures and beautiful scenery but there are a few seasonal hazards pet parents should keep in mind. Here are some simple ways to keep your pup happy, healthy, and safe all season long:
🎃 Halloween Treats
Chocolate, candy, raisins, and some sugar-free treats can be dangerous for dogs. Keep the Halloween goodies safely out of reach and give your pup a dog-friendly treat instead, like Daisy's Dog Treats.
🍁 Fallen Leaves
Dogs love sniffing and playing in piles of leaves, but mold, mushrooms, and other hidden objects can sometimes be lurking underneath. Give those leaf piles a quick check before letting your pup dive in.
👻 Halloween Decorations
Candles, electrical cords, small decorations, and Halloween props can all be tempting for curious pups. Keep anything chewable or breakable safely away from your dog's reach.
🐕 Stay Visible on Fall Walks
With the days getting shorter, evening walks can mean less visibility. Consider a reflective leash, light-up accessory, or bright collar to help your pup stay visible. Check out Daisysdogcollars.com for our safety glow collars.
🎃 Pet-Friendly Pumpkins
Plain, fresh pumpkin can be a tasty treat for many dogs, but decorative pumpkins that have begun to rot or mold should be kept away from pets.
🌊 Let's Not Forget Our Coastal Pups
For those of us who love the beach, fall is a wonderful time for seaside walks. Keep fresh water handy, watch the waves, and make sure your pup doesn't eat sand, or anything else they find along the shore.
Most importantly, enjoy the season together! A little preparation goes a long way toward making sure your pup's October is filled with safe adventures and happy memories.
