Hello and Welcome to our September Newsletter,
After spending a hot summer soaking up the sunshine, enjoying beach days, and keeping a close eye on her favorite humans, Daisy is ready to welcome the cooler days of autumn, with a wagging tail and a whole new list of adventures! There’s just something special about fall - the crisp morning air, changing leaves, longer walks, and of course, plenty of opportunities to show off a favorite collar!
Shore Saves Animal Rescue, located in Freehold NJ, is our current fundraiser and its moving right along. We'll continue to donate $5 per collar to this amazing organization through the fall. Please visit Shoresaves.com to learn more about them or even better... to adopt a pup.
Our craft season begins this month and we couldn't be more excited! We're kicking it off in Sarasota at the St. Armands Cir. Here are the details:
Saturday September 19th and Sunday the 20th from 10am to 5pm we'll be at the St. Armands Cir. Arts and Crafts Festival located at 1 St. Armands Circle, Sarasota, FL.
Saturday September 26th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday the 27th from 10am to 4pm, we will be at the DeLand Craft Show located on Woodland Blvd in downtown DeLand, FL.
Nothing says fall quite like pumpkin! Here's a quick pumpkin recipe for dog treats your pup will love. These little treats are easy to make and perfect for a cozy afternoon.
Pumpkin & Peanut Butter Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain pumpkin purée (not pumpkin pie filling)
- ½ cup natural peanut butter without xylitol
- 2 eggs
- 2½ cups whole-wheat flour
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix pumpkin, peanut butter, and eggs together.
- Gradually add the flour until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut into small shapes—or simply make little balls.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes.
- Let them cool completely before giving one to your pup.
Daisy's Tip: Make them into little leaves, pumpkins, or bones for an extra-fun fall treat!
For Daisy, fall means cooler walks, happy trails, lots of cuddles, and plenty of reasons to wag her tail, and if Daisy has anything to say about it, there are going to be a lot of adventures before winter arrives!
